WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU COMBINE ONE OF THE WORLD’S MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACES WITH A RACE THAT WILL CHALLENGE YOUR MIND AND BODY?
MAGIC HAPPENS. EXHILARATION. THEN PEACE (OR YOU MAY JUST GO NUTS!)

Date:     Saturday 2 March, 2019

Where: North West Tasmania, Australia

Start:    The Nut, Stanley

Finish:   Gutteridge Gardens, Wynyard

The Races:

101km – individual, team of 2, 3 or 4

50km –  individual or team of 2

25km –  individual

Entries Open August 12, 2018

Tasmania’s Gone Nuts 101 Adventure Run will commence on one of Tasmania’s most recognised and visited icons, The Nut, at Stanley, in Tasmania’s North West corner. The race will hug coastline, climb through Rocky Cape National Park and traverse rugged coastal bush and calming temperate rainforest. You will be challenged by diverse landscapes, encounter native wildlife and birds, and witness some of the most spectacular coastlines imaginable. In this part of the world, rolling green farmland drops over cliffs into the pristine waters of Bass Strait. The beaches are also as diverse as they are unique, with sections of long white sandy beaches, small crescent shaped bays and rugged rocky bays formed by volcanic eruptions millions of years ago.

The run will finish in Gutteridge Gardens, Wynyard, after a breathtaking trip around another volcanic monolith, Table Cape. Spectators will enjoy festivities at the finish line on Saturday afternoon and evening, and on Sunday 4 March there will be race presentations in the Gardens.

Both the 101km, 50km races have individual and team entries, and the exclusive last 25km leg is for individuals only. We want everyone to be able to enjoy Gone Nuts so we have set generous cut off times for all legs – even a brisk walk will get you over the line in time!

The ‘Last 25’ section of the track includes private land not accessible outside of race day – and the Boat Harbour Beach to Table Cape coastline is an experience money can’t buy.

What are you waiting for –  ‘Go Nuts’ in Tasmania!

This retreat provides an opportunity for those new to meditation to learn a valuable but gentle introduction to insight meditation and the Dharma teachings in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Those meditators with an established practice can look more deeply into the meditative process itself and bring more ease and acceptance into their sittings.

Insight meditation retreats give us the opportunity to see clearly the reactions and distortions that arise in our daily life and to cultivate an awareness of the freedom and clarity that is available in each precious moment.
