Cow ‘n’ Calf Art Gallery

A desire to capture the beauty of Tasmania was the inspiration for creating photographic images. The incredible diversity available provided varied sources for my endevours, in particular, the wild rugged coastline with its windy and weathered landscape, the pristine, unique rainforests full of an ancient peaceful tranquility, and finally the surging rivers driving down and onwards to the sea.

Tasmania is a marvelous place, and a photographers dream destination. I have had exhibitions at the Without Pier Gallery and the Dogs Bar Gallery, both within Melbourne, and two exhibitions in my hometown of Stanley. I am currently exhibiting at The Wilderness Gallery of Cradle Mountain, starting on December 3 2010, and running for 12 months. I have my own Gallery, the “Cow ‘n’ Calf Art Gallery” located in Stanley, which opened on November 1 2010, in which I exhibit my high quality photography as well as paintings, glassworks, sculptures, woodworks, woven products, jewellry to a selection of postcards and mementos all from local artists.

Nut Café & Store

The Nut Chairlift operates every day, depending on weather, generally from 9.30am until 4.30pm. The Chairlift does close for a short period over Winter.

The walking track up the Nut is open every day and evening. The Nut is a great place to watch the sun rise or set over the magical fishing village of Stanley.
